Sexy Shoe Sunday: Valentino

Happy Sunday, lovelies. Did you miss Sexy Shoe Sunday? I did too, actually, but I try to only feature shoes I actually buy, though I'm thinking I should just share anything uber fabulous. And, I've been on a break from buying shoes because nothing's really tickled my fancy. Until now. Well, I did pick up some super fabulous black pumps and a pair of strappy shoes for this TV appearance a few weeks ago. I need to show you those. But for now.... These!

I try not to obsess over material things. But sometimes a girl's just gotta cave into the crush and follow her heart's content.

I saw these a while back, loved them, but knew they were too trendy for my taste. Haven't studs been in for 5 years? And won't they only last for maybe 2 more? That's why I looked (and drooled), tried them on, and walked out empty-handed, feeling great.

But then I got a call I've been waiting on for years and the shoes came to mind. I fought that frugal, practical side and pondered them again.

It took all of two days to decide on them. I deserved them. This was the one case (and hopefully the last) where timeless style didn't matter. I just went for it.

And, I'm so glad I did. I'm in love. I haven't crushed on a pair of shoes like this in a long time. Especially trendy shoes.

These beauties are sexy, screaming my name and just classy. I just pray these studs don't become passé anytime soon. And even if they do, I'll be rocking them 'til I'm well in my 60s! The lovely and over-the-top friends at Nordstrom assured me I'd be fine. Plus they went overboard in finding them for me.... because, this color in my size was sold out.

Enjoy.

Sexy Shoe Sunday: LAMB 'Jazmyn'

Lusting over these ultra sexy L.A.M.B 'Jazmyn' pumps I bought at Nordstrom Rack to wear with a flowy off-the-shoulder dress with accordian pleated skirt. I bought them to wear to a flamenco show in Spain during the wedding I mentioned in my last post, but I went all casual and rocked jeans instead.

I've shied away from very scantily designed heels, you know the ones with super little snug and support and very open, but these match everything I could wear this summer and fall. Plus, a black and white pump pretty much goes with everything.  Let's not even talk about the attractive supple perforated leader heel covering juxtaposed against a curvaceous patent heel. The are particularly easy to dress up or down. Loving the idea of a skinny jean, too.

I love them. Debating returning them b/c I was only able to find a 7.5 and I'm a solid 8. I fit them well but wondering if the 1/2 size will eventually catch up to me.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

I mean, they are pretty sexy. 6" and classy.

This is my Sexy Shoe Sunday. I hope to tell you later this week I either found an 8 or crammed into a 7.5 which I'll pay for later! Ha.

Yellow & Blue In Brooklyn

My other half!

Producer and director in a lovely floor length dress.

Blue.

Sis and me chatting it up. She's in same shoes in patent burgundy.

I had been waiting for the right opportunity to wear this amazing dress I found about 8 years ago at a quaint vintage shop in D.C. for all of $10! It's from the 60s and boasts an absolutely perfect silhouette. All lace with a peek a boo red zipper in the back and in new condition. It looks like the owner never wore it. Yes, please!

And so on a perfect night atop the Brooklyn Terrance Lounge, I rocked this dress to celebrate the launch of Chic Rebellion, the all new online network where I'm hosting my own show 'Dine Out'. I teased you with looks from some film days here and here! Remember? Finally, it's out and we're enjoying the response.

The blue suede shoes were a perfect punch against the dress. But the hat with a sparkly detail gave the whole look a touch of ass and evening appropriate. I was comfortable and at the end of the night, that's what mattered!

Check out my 1st episode "Food Trucks in D.C." -- I hope you love it! More to come

Flat is Fly! For the Unfortunate Situation

If you're a girl like me and don't wear flats unless you're chasing the dog or running to the mailbox, flat shoes don't really take up real estate in the closet. But, sometimes the most of unfortunate and untimely accidents happen that force us to consider perusing the flat section... and they must be on sale!

I sprained my ankle almost 4 weeks ago and have only worn heels twice... and those two fabulous times turned out to be a miserable aftermath. Shooting pain in my heel has taken over and I've now resigned to using crutches while I heal.

Yes, I'm on crutches. So while my Dr. sis has put me on foot rest and instructed me to stay off any kind of sexy stiletto, I've been pretending to want to own some flats. I did some virtual shopping and found some really cute options! I'd actually wear all of these... now.

After getting over the idea of having to wear flats for a few more weeks, I went to my closet and actually found a few pair...most of which hadn't seen my feet in more years than I can remember. These two are faves and not bad options for everyday styling.

If I was bold enough to spend $170 (on sale) on the fabulously chic leopard print Kate Spade one's, I might, just might get really excited about flats!

Flat can be Fly!

How do you rock your flats? Share a link to your fave pair! I want to see what you like!
