B So Chic! on the Tube: Talking Fall Fashion & Beauty Trends on ABC Action News {Video}

There's nothing like talking about things that make you smile and pretty. On TV.

Last month I was invited to appear once on ABC Action News in Tampa, Fl... I was talking food and entertaining at home. And then like every wonderful surprise that's dreamy, I was asked to stick around and do a few more segments, branching out from food, which is what I do 90% of the time. The lovely and uber friendly host, another Cuban gal, wanted me to chat fall fashions and beauty trends. Totally caught off guard since it was all unplanned, I winged it in the best way I could...

And this is how it went... (see Youtube video above). That's what happens when you'r thrown all kinds of curve balls and have to pull your answers of fore-sighting... and it doesn't help I mispronounced the one product I'm obsessed with.

I am currently in loooove with Caudile's Divine Oil for the body and their Beauty Elixir sprays. As much as I travel, it's simply amazing to be able to come home and pamper myself with sexy body toners and aromas that unwind. These two really do the job. You'll feel like the prettiest, sexiest, and most confident chica. Even if it's you... alone... at home... ;)

Try them... you'll absolutely love, too.

Now for the things you couldn't see beauty prods on the table which I didn't have time to mention (because if you've ever done TV, live or taped, you know you get all of 3-4 minutes to talk... so no matter how much you think you can cram in, something(s) will always get left out) I'll share my thoughts on them in some upcoming {Beauty Bloom} posts.

Finally, if I were more of a shoe freak, I'd be a bona fide hoarder and someone would be calling the fire department to charge me with endangerment to my neighbors. The massive amount of shoe boxes (still too poor to have a custom-designed dressing room where I can beautifully display my shoes) is cause enough for a fire. Sure things. It's just wrong to have more than 300 shoes... yeah, a girl can't have too many shoes, but when I look at my options, I start realizing I just like to collect. I buy the same shoe in several colors but somehow I end up going for the same pair all the time while the rest of my collection begs to be worn. Too bad none of what I just said means I'll taper my shoe shopping. After all, another segment is in the works and you know that means running out for more shoes!

But weren't the orange L.A.M.B.s (featured here) and espresso Aldo booties (worn here) yummy!?!!

Sexy Shoe Sunday: Orange is the new Black

I had to have these the minute I saw them. I tried to convince myself at one point that an all black or monochromatic wardrobe best fit my style... but not so much. I live a very vibrant life and colors just make me happy! And I'm feeling orange more and more.

These patent LAMB 'Jocelyn's spoke to me... The heel is fabulous and the contrast in shades adds more sass than expected. They look great with boyfriend style jeans which is how I rocked them earlier this week for the first time. I'll back with a full look sometime next week.

For now, how awesome are they! I'm telling you, Nordstrom Rack is one dangerous place. Period. But I'll be back.

Tangerines & Fedoras on Day 2 at Fashion Week

My friends at Artistry beauty invited me to NY to attend a few runway shows, among them the J. Mendel show, which I'll recap later, but in the meantime, this is what I wore to the packed out auditorium. I decided to channel my clairvoyant spirit and wear a tangerine dress. Sure enough, the show was replete with flowy gowns and ensembles in the same hue. I had no idea the color was the star in their collection. I fit right in. Only this dress is not the most flattering. But, for a mere $13 at Macy's (80% off summer sale), I'm not complaining. And I love the pockets. The texture and weigh are great and the craftsmanship is lovely; just not the best cut for my body type.

Thankfully the fedora, which is my favorite summer one and my new, braided handle bag (and I wish you could see the dramatic tassel) were my highlights! Love this new bag! It's small in capacity with a buttery leather but definitely makes a statement. I defaulted to my classic "go-with-everything" strappy pumps by L.A.M.B.

Another fashion blogger friend and I enjoyed the show so much, we decided to put on a little show for onlookers leaving the Lincoln Center. This is what we captured! Thankfully, it was a stunning in Manhattan. Everything about that day was perfect.

My True Love... Leopard Anything. And Chanel, Too.

Keyshia  Cole donning perfect red lips
Playing on Instagram while still in jammies
If Valentine's Day weren't defined by all things red, or if the lovers' day was calendared in Spring, I'd be wearing this tomorrow for my pretend date, in which I'd be eating sushi with fancy chopsticks. The lovely white lace frock is the perfect piece to entice the man opposite my frame. And leopard booties, with a skinny heel creates a perfect contrast. Unexpected lock of texture, fabric and pattern. And of course, a solid statement piece by way of the most fabulous gold chain I've seen, would complete the look. It has to be Chanel. Because it's just so fancy, so classic, so chic and so ooh-la-la.

Almost. Red lips say "Besame, Papi." It's the quintessential vixen and sexy look.  I love a variety of shades, but really loving "Ruby Woo" by M.A.C. and "Hot Passion" by CoverGirl which has a yummy taste of coconut and lasts about 5 hours! Fabulous.

Tomorrow will just be a normal day, but a girl can dream, right!

Minnie Mouse, Purple & Red

my friend RL, former lead singer of R&B group "NEXT"

Colleague, friend & producer at  NBC-11 Alive (Atlanta)

Waiting.

The shoe I was wearing, though in brown

I haven't had a nil moment to post about my street, daily looks... Life is moving along in a great direction, leaving little time to even to stop and be photographed in detail. Unless of course it's a planned and work-related photo shoot.

Of course, that doesn't mean that when a camera man is around, I jump at getting a pic or two, especially if the outfit is cute.

I've been in and out of the music industry for about 7 years now and an opportunity to be back in the scene gets me giddy. I miss the days of touring overseas, singing on international stages, hopping on the bus and driving half a day to our next venue...

So when I got an invite to the premiere party for former group artists, now gone solo, I was all in it. However, I was attending a new apparel line launch a few hours prior and dressed for that occasion, not a swanky, somewhat B-list star studded music event. It worked out that I was dressed in part for the latter. Actually, after looking at the pics, I love how the lighting of the club venue went uber well with my ensemble! Surely, if it were the only event I were going to, I would have opted for something more evening appropriate, but I was comfy and that's all that mattered. Plus, my Minnie Mouse shirt just caused so attention and I felt like I was a brown version of Carrie Bradshaw (b/c we all do remember her Micky Mouse shirt!)

Sometimes, it's just about that [comfort] and nothing else. I wasn't even at the premiere long enough to see the artist... but that's how things go at these industry events. The artist always, always makes a fashionably late appearance!
