Celebrate Your Music with #SomosFiOS Twitter Party! And Wear Some Fly Shoes!

Shoes, shoes, shoes! You know I'm all about the shoes! I've featured some of my faves here, here and here
You know they're essential for every day wearing and dancing. As, a wannabe ballroom or street dancer (a la Shakira and Beyoncé), I dance every time I have the opportunity. I'm Latina, so I love nothing more than shaking my hips. Yes, I've even gracefully topped a table and got my shake on! That was in Mexico, so it's totally excusable.

How appropriate and perfect timing is it that I'm co-hosting (as a panelist) a fabulous and virtually hip-shaking Twitter party, sponsored by Fios, the communications giant that offers our must-haves: Internet, cable and phone.

Why a Twitter party?  Well, they along with Latina Mom Bloggers are partying for the "Celebrate our Music" (see previous post) in anticipation of the upcoming Latin music awards show in Las Vegas . For two hours, we'll be chatting up our fave songs, music genres, artists and performances. During the fiesta, we'll also be unveiling the launch of the Verizon Fios "Celebrate Our Music" Facebook Sweepstakes.

What better way to spend your Tuesday evening, sitting at your computer, with a sexy pair of heels on, tweeting away and talking up all things music!

After all, music does make the world go 'round!

Join us tonight for a sexy fiesta with lots of opps to win some goodies!

Minnie Mouse, Purple & Red

my friend RL, former lead singer of R&B group "NEXT"

Colleague, friend & producer at  NBC-11 Alive (Atlanta)

Waiting.

The shoe I was wearing, though in brown

I haven't had a nil moment to post about my street, daily looks... Life is moving along in a great direction, leaving little time to even to stop and be photographed in detail. Unless of course it's a planned and work-related photo shoot.

Of course, that doesn't mean that when a camera man is around, I jump at getting a pic or two, especially if the outfit is cute.

I've been in and out of the music industry for about 7 years now and an opportunity to be back in the scene gets me giddy. I miss the days of touring overseas, singing on international stages, hopping on the bus and driving half a day to our next venue...

So when I got an invite to the premiere party for former group artists, now gone solo, I was all in it. However, I was attending a new apparel line launch a few hours prior and dressed for that occasion, not a swanky, somewhat B-list star studded music event. It worked out that I was dressed in part for the latter. Actually, after looking at the pics, I love how the lighting of the club venue went uber well with my ensemble! Surely, if it were the only event I were going to, I would have opted for something more evening appropriate, but I was comfy and that's all that mattered. Plus, my Minnie Mouse shirt just caused so attention and I felt like I was a brown version of Carrie Bradshaw (b/c we all do remember her Micky Mouse shirt!)

Sometimes, it's just about that [comfort] and nothing else. I wasn't even at the premiere long enough to see the artist... but that's how things go at these industry events. The artist always, always makes a fashionably late appearance!

Sentimental images and gifts

After posting about home work offices that inspire me (here), I started looking at my own space and micro-analyzing every detail. I spend endless hours in here writing, editing, researching, making connections, sealing deals, reading and dancing to whatever's blasting from my speakers.

I took these pictures to give me a better look at what I have and what I want to change about it. As it stands, it all makes sense to me and is very user-friendly. But, there's something missing. I haven't quite put my foot on it, but there's something keeping me from giving my business the 200% I used to.

I love the green walls I painted. I love the chair (though a Missoni one would be uberly fabulous --do not the floral vase from the Target line!). And nothing inspires me more than the open windows lacing entire sunroom which has Cathedral ceilings.

But, perhaps the vintage wood English desk chair could use reupholstering? I'd been after a chair like that for over 8 years and finally found this one in Ybor City, Fl. I love it, but I'm thinking it could use some sprucing. A different desk lamp, maybe?

Who knows. It's all about the mood. And right no, my mood is inclined to streamline a bit more and get rid of some "small" things and invest in some bold, statement pieces. After all, this space is my money-maker. It's where my biz grows. Without nurturing the space, I can't grow!

What are your thoughts? If it were yours, what would you change, rearrange, add, remove, etc...? I'm curious, lovelies!
