Looking For My Work MoJo!

It's Wednesday [and Thursday for that matter] and I have no motivation. No desire to get any work done. I'm sitting in my home-office, looking around my 3 floor-length windows, staring outside and hoping the sun (which has potential to melt everything inside if I didn't keep my blinds slanted) and the singing birds would give me some inspiration to share what I do and love best.

But it doesn't. And while I look around the smallest details on my desk and walls, I realize how much I love my office, actually. I painted my walls a candy apple green when I first moved in. My floors are hard wood. And I have the best office chair known to an at-home entrepreneur. It's a zebra print English wing back that swivels. It's sexy.

And even my keen eye has room for improvement. So instead of working, I've spent a little bit of time scouring some incredible images of office space that would help reinvigorate my mood and determination.

Aren't these luscious?!

the color scheme, layout, openness, textures and simple statements make this office perfect for getting work done in 18 hour days!

a bit to closed in for my personality but the colors make it warm and cozy.

the best thing about this is the window. and the green wall.

very Kelly Wearstler style. Cognac and turquoise give it a vintage vibe but the sunbursts tops add great contrast. love.

and the single office I'm currently lusting: Khloe Kardashian's. Designed by LA interior guru Jeff Andrews. Everything about her office speaks to me. Everything!

Now, back to work. I suppose.

Red & Green... and White

Me and MAC Genius Jon

Acting like a teenager while I pose for Jon. Though looks like I'm doing something else;)

Ahhh. Better now.

"Harlem," me and Jon

Hosting the event!

Owner of company.

Don't you hate these lazy eye shots!

Dancing to NY music!

There's always a reason to get dressed up. Especially when there's a party involved. And even moreso when I'm asked to host said party....

A few weeks ago, a new company launched in Atlanta, one involving women wearing heels (makes sense to me) and I was lucky enough to be asked to host. In exchange, I'd get some pink pumps, which ultimately didn't work out. The organizers got me the wrong size. In all of my preparedness for the worst, I carried my latest shoe acquisition to be on the safe side.

My intention was to rock a serious color-blocked ensemble: red mini, emerald green silk top, pink pumps. How fantastic would that have looked, right!? Fortunately, my white peep-toes worked just as well. In fact, the starch white added a great balance to the red/green combo. In retrospect, I liked it much better. Much more my style.

The party was sexy fun. Though blazing hot (remove bolero here),  I danced with my friend from Harlem (last pic), and thanks to my friend Jon (1st  pic), I was captured heisting some pink feathers for a friend that wants to use the plumes for a crafty project... hey, if I couldn't wear the pink shoes, at least I could tickle myself with feathers.

I still can't wait to wear the 5" pink stilettos I was given as consideration for my time!

One Day....

If I could like this for one day... what would I have to do:

1) have tons of money. like in the millions
2) have a full team that supports my work
3) a nutritionist and chef
4) purchase thousand-dollar skincare
5) get my hair done once a week
6) maintain a mani/pedi every other day

and.

7) Be a celebrity of J.Lo's caliber.

I chose both of these images because they depict my own sense of style, womanhood and passion.

I've been traveling for the past two weeks and haven't had a free moment to update but I'm back! And hopefully for 3 weeks before my next trip. So much to catch you up on. I hope you'll come back and read all about it. ;) xo

* I originally found a mention of J.Lo's photo shoot on Voguerista--one of my fave fashion sites. She's so haute.
